+2 COURSE STRUCTURE & SCHEME OF STUDIES

Course structure & subjects of Examination :
The course structure & subjects for Higher Secondary Examination & Maximum marks in each subjects shall be as follows :

Compulsory
Subject Marks 1st Year 2nd year
(i) English 200 (Two hundred) 100 100
(ii) M.I.L. (one of the following)
Oriya /Hindi /Urdu /
Bangali/Telugu 200 (Two hundred) 100 100
(iii) Yoga 100 (One hundred) 50 50

Provided that the council may in special circumstances permit a candidate to offer alternative papers in English of a Higher Standard than required in (i) above in lieu of M.I.L paper, stating reasons :

Provided further that a candidate may be permitted to take up for the Higher Secondary Examination one of the subject as MIL Under (ii) above with attendance at Lecture in the subject if the affiliated in that subject.

(iv) Environmental Education (EE)
Notes : The above subject will be assessed at the college level for 100 marks (70 marks for theory and 30 marks for project work) at the end of 1st year of +2 course and the grades (A, B, C & D in order of merit) are to be awarded by the college and the same shall be recorded in the book of the pass certificate given by the council subsequently.
The grade secured in the EE will not affect the result of the candidate.

Elective
A. Subject of examination for Arts stream.
Out of the following subjects a students shall have to offer any four elective subjects each carrying a minimum of 200 marks - i.e. 100 marks for 1st year and 100 marks for 2nd year)
1. Political Science
2. History
3. Economics
4. Logic / Geography (any one)
5. Oriya / Sanskrit (any one)
6. Education / Geography / Psychology (any one)

B. Subjects of examination for Science stream (Each elective subject carrying a maximum of 200 marks i.e. 100 marks for 1st year and 100 marks for 2nd year)
1. Physics, 2. Chemistry, 3. Mathematics, 4. Biology

C. Subjects of Examination for commerce stream. (Each elective subject carrying a maximum of 200 marks i.e. 100 marks for 1st year & 100 marks for 2nd year)
1. Accountancy
2. Business Studies & Management
3. Business Mathematics & Statistics
4. Fundamentals of entrepreneurship & Business Economics.
